All county employees are designated, by law, as Disaster Service Workers. In the event of a local emergency or disaster, county employees may be called upon to assist in the emergency response efforts of the County. During disasters, employees may fill an array of necessary roles (not necessarily the same as their daily county role) to assist the public and the county respond to and recover from a disaster.
