As of July 1st, 2021, the Emergency Management (EM) Services fees and associated administrative fees will no longer be collected through the Riverside County Fire Department agreement. The Emergency Management Department is instead offering direct Emergency Management Services to city partners.
To reduce barriers in the delivery of quality EMS education, REMSA advanced its education delivery platform to include web-based education modules.

In addition to Overdose Surveillance, EMD-REMSA also helps lead the initiative focused on Overdose Prevention through education and resiliency.
Riverside County EMD received a grant from Cal OES to address Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Resiliency in 2019 ($979,476) and in 2020 ($489,738).
