Preparedness Division focuses on the development and maintenance of all-hazards plans, including testing plans through a Multi-Year Training and Exercise Program. The Preparedness Division also manages federal and state grant programs. In addition, the Preparedness Division manages several volunteer programs, including instructing Community Emergency Response Team and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service training.
Operations Division manages the department’s constant state of disaster readiness through our duty officer program, Emergency Operations Center, and business resiliency efforts. The Operations Division actively engages with our partner jurisdictions, including cities, tribes, utilities, and special districts.
Riverside County Emergency Medical Services Agency (REMSA) ensures optimal prehospital emergency medical care is provided for all of Riverside County through regulatory oversight of ambulance providers, first responder agencies, and hospitals. REMSA also issues licenses to all paramedics and emergency medical technicians.
Business, Finance and Administration ensures the entire department operates efficiently through a comprehensive approach to policies, contracts, budget management, and fiscal responsibility.
