We love our nurses!

EMD recognizes the quality work our nurses perform all year long during National Nurses Week!

It's National Nurses Week and we love our nurses!

Emergency Management Department (EMD) nurses - Shanna Kissel, Karen Craven, Karen Petrilla and Scott Moffatt - perform:

  • specialty care and trauma evaluations
  • data collection
  • data management
  • hospital preparedness
  • credentialing

The mission of EMD is realized through a team environment. Central to our team are the nurses who work with healthcare facilities, emergency medical technicians and paramedics.

This year’s National Nursing Week theme Nurses: Inspire, Innovate, Influence, speaks to the profound impact nurses have to our stakeholder groups, and ultimately, to all residents and visitors in Riverside County. Their knowledge and expertise add inspiration and credibility to the integrity of our department.

Nurses constantly find ways to adapt and innovate. For all of this and more, the entire EMD team thanks you for your service!
