Course Overview: The ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, & Evacuate) is a 2-Day Instructor training course designed to teach proactive survival strategies in violent intruder or active shooter situations to law enforcement as well as school, church, hospital and workplace administrators and employees. This course provides training that will bridge the gap between the time a violent event begins and law enforcement arrives.
Background: You will become knowledgeable in statistics and information about active shooter situations and why ALICE training is effective.
ALICE Concept: We will deliver a detailed overview of ALICE training and the liability of proactive vs. passive response strategies.
Physical Drill: You will experience live scenario drills that compare a static vs. active ALICE response.
Effective Training: You will learn the strategies and be provided with materials to become an effective ALICE Instructor in your organization.
Hospital Administrators, Department Managers, Emergency Program Managers, Medical Directors, Emergency Preparedness Committee Members, Safety Coordinators, Risk Managers, Education Services Staff, First Responders, Field Personnel for ALS/BLS, Health Care Personnel, and any staff that could serve in a Department Operation Center (DOC), Emergency Operation Center (EOC) or Hospital Command Center (HCC).
Required: The waiver and release of liability form . Make sure to wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, and closed toe shoes. The training exercises will use airsoft guns and plastic BBs that may sting and break the skin if its hits bare skin.
